General impression about student: Olesky is a very diligent and enthusiastic student when it comes to his studies. He is dedicated to his lessons and always actively participates in all our lessons. He works well independantly and always submits his homework. He is a confident individual and this translates in his ability to articulate confidently in spoken and written English.
Feedback about Vocabulary: He has very good vocabulary as an avid reader this has helped him imensly. He can understand subtle jokes in English, and expresses himself with colorful native phrases. He can understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and recognize implicit meaning of the English language.
Feedback about Grammar: He has solid understanding of grammar rules and is able to use his tenses correctly and good has sentence contruction in both verbal and written language.
Feedback about Pronunciation: Very good. There were some isolated problems (confusing the W sound with the V sounds), but overall his accent is consistent, controlled and easy to understand. He does an excellent job of connecting his words together and using intonation to communicate.
Feedback about Listening: Using the LARA model, which stands for Listen, Acknowledge, Respond, and Ask I was able to assess his ability to listen to audio's and videos and able to comprehend the information. He is able to understand fully what was being said and can respond accurately to the information. This is for recordings as well as general conversations.
Feedback about Speaking pace: He speaks at a conversationa pace with steady tones where necessary. On topics he is more confident in he is able to speak a bit faster but generally he has an audible and steady pace.
Feedback about Conversation flow the ability to carry out the conversation: He can express himself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression. He can use English flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Relatively few errors and they did not inhibit communication.
Feedback about Pauses: It happens when he is thinking which is natural even to native speakers and again, it does not inhibit communication.
Feedback about Ability of self-correction while speaking: Very good although there are times where he is not aware of his own error but these are minor and not too often. He is often aware of what he is saying so often he is able to notice when he has made a mistake is quick to correct himself.
